About IITH
Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) is one of the six new Indian Institutes of Technology established by the Government of India in 2008. In a short span of 12 years, the institute built on an imposing 578-acre campus and has been ranked among the top 10 institutes for four consecutive years in the NIRF released by the Ministry of Education, GoI. IITH was also ranked under Top #10 in the recent edition ARIIA on indicators related to ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development’ among students and faculties. IIT Hyderabad has 255 full-time faculties, 4000+ students on roll of whom 20 percent are women, nearly 200 state-of-the-art laboratories and five research and entrepreneurship centres. The Institute has a strong research focus with more than Rs. 500 crore of sanctioned research funding while PhD scholars account for about 30% of total student strength. IITH students and faculty are at the forefront of innovation with more than 6081 research publications and 100+ patent disclosures, 400+ sponsored/ consultancy projects and 50 industry & academic collaborations. About the Program
IIT Hyderabad announces the call for the fifth round ( admission for the June/July– 2023 ) of FIRST scheme for supporting bright and motivated international scholars for pursuing PhD at IIT Hyderabad with full financial support and IITH invites the Applications all through the Year.
Fellowship Duration : 4 years
Eligibility
1. Foreign Nationals (except OCI/NRI) with Excellent Academic qualifications having a master’s degree in Engineering / Technology in the relevant disciplines and minimum CGPA of 8.0 on a 10-point scale or equivalent.
2. Candidates should complete either Bachelor or Master's degree in any of the foreign universities

Desirable
Degree from a topline university in their respective countries, Research output in terms of
publications/patents will be given a weightage
during shortlisting.
Financial Assistance
- Fellowship Amount: 60,000/- INR Per Month.
- Contingency Support: 1,00,000/- INR per Year.
